Great article Stephen! Are court vision and situational recognition like you showed in the offensive highlights skills that point guards can work at and improve upon or more something that by this point they either have or they don't? Obviously any skill can be worked on around the margins but can you go from a low level of court vision to a high one with training and study?

I haven't reviewed games but to a casual fan this seems like what Coby lacks and Sato and maybe Dotson possess. That point guard feel for the game breaking down the defense to draw extra defenders and then hitting the open man with a pass in the right spot to allow them to shoot/drive/pass fluidly. Coby just doesn't seem to do this consistently or it looks like he still really needs to think about what to do next instead of it being instinctual. You can really see the difference when he's playing as Coby the facilitator vs. Coby the scorer. Score mode comes so naturally to him.

Do NBA players who have low level PG instincts/skills often improve drastically over the years? I feel like star point guards usually come into the league with elite court vision and ability to get past their man to break down the D.
