I’m not a big draft guy, and I didn’t watch much Noa Essengue before the Bulls took him in the first round aside from listening to people smarter than me (most of whom liked the pick!).
On Friday, I watched my first full Essengue game. You can’t learn a ton from only one game, but you do get a much better scout than from highlights that only show the good stuff.
I clipped all of the good and bad noteworthy plays to make a 3 1/2 minute scout of the things that stood out on my first look. I’ll keep on watching him at Summer League and updating my observations. For now, here’s what I think of him.
