Grading Bulls rookie Matas Buzelis at quarter mark of 2024-25 season

Is No. 11 pick living up to the hype?

With Matas Buzelis having the best game of his season last night against the Nets, I figured that it was a good time to give an overview of how he’s looked so far. Here’s my evaluation at Sporting News.

If you want the quick version, I think that he’s smoothed over some of the rough edges offensively by simplifying his role. Defensively, his ability to make plays is exciting.

He’s on a good trajectory thus far and while he hasn’t put up crazy numbers, the promise is there.
