DeMar DeRozan is the engine that drives the Bulls in crunch time
Going through the end of game against the Denver Nuggets to show DeRozan's impact
The Bulls won a nail biter in Denver on Friday night, and they did it by playing through DeMar DeRozan. He had the ball for all seven of the team’s final offensive possessions, and they scored 11 points during that span to bring home the win.
I went through all seven possessions to show how much trust Billy Donovan is putting in DeRozan at the end of games. Watch the video below:

DeMar DeRozan is the engine that drives the Bulls in crunch time
Great video! It's apparent to the casual fan that the Bulls have been better in crunch time due to contributions by DeRozan but this video was super helpful in highlighting just how much the Bulls are putting the game in his hands as the lead ballhandler and decision maker. That's a role that Zach has always struggled with in the past, putting up bad shots and turning the ball over. Zach has shown improvement every year and I really hope he can pick up some habits of DeRozan when it comes to decision-making at the end of the game and drawing fouls. It would be great if we didn't have to rely solely on DeRozan but for now at least that's been a huge improvement over Zach handling the ball at the end of games.
Thanks for slowing this down. Really great analysis. Looking forward to your thoughts on how the Bulls will play when Vucevic returns.
